Rainbow Row Goes Wild

My Art Featured in a $7M Charleston Mansion

Sometimes your art ends up in the spotlight—without your name ever being mentioned.
But hey, when Zillow Gone Wild, HGTV, and The Post and Courier are all featuring a piece you created, it’s worth making some noise.

My painting Rainbow Row at Night recently appeared in the viral listing for a stunning 1802 mansion on South Battery in Charleston, SC. The home—renovated by my amazing collector Kelly Pfeil—is currently listed for just under $7 million and has gone completely wild on the internet.

Zillow Gone Wild featured it on their Facebook and IG, HGTV picked it up for their ZGWMansionMondays series, and The Post and Courier ran a feature in their online and printed newspaper telling the story of Kelly’s restoration journey.

The article highlights Kelly’s thoughtful renovation approach—preserving the historic garden and honoring the home’s legacy—while giving it a bold new life. I’m honored that my painting became part of that transformation.

The artwork featured? A moody, luminous version of Charleston’s iconic Rainbow Row glowing under the night sky. This piece has long been one of my top-selling prints—especially popular on pillows. There’s something about the dreamy lighting and rich colors that people love to live with. It captures the magic of Charleston in a way that resonates with locals and travelers alike.

The original painting was first collected during the Piccolo Spoleto Festival while I was living in Charleston. That city shaped a major chapter of my life and inspired an entire body of work. Rainbow Row at Night is more than just a painting—it’s a love letter to the soul of Charleston.

While none of the coverage mentioned my name (a familiar story for many artists), I’m taking a moment to celebrate. I’m proud that my work continues to live in meaningful spaces and be part of stories that people connect with.

To mark the moment, I’m doing a limited-time promotion on my Charleston collection of prints and merch—including framed prints, mugs, and of course, the much-loved pillows featuring Rainbow Row at Night.

So if you catch Zillow Gone Wild on HGTV or HBO Max and see that glowing cityscape on the wall—know that it came from the hands of a local artist who once called that very city home.
