For years I painted a lot of what people wanted to buy. Then, in 2021, I found collectors who didn’t care if a painting matched their couch. They wanted truth, rebellion, art that was raw and a little weird. NFTs gave me the freedom to create from the heart, to experiment, to simply be.

The story so far
2021 · The beginning
It started over lunch.
In 2021, a collector named Johnny took me to lunch and invited me to create traits for Kindred Hearts, a charity collection of 7,777 hearts built from pieces drawn by different artists. That was my way into NFTs. He became my first collector, and the one who onboarded me into this space.
My first collection came from a solo show at the Grand Bohemian Gallery in Charleston, about bees and pollinators. I minted thirty-three bees on OpenSea, one for each original, and Johnny collected the very first one. The Hive sold out, and I was hooked.

The canvas, animated.
A few days later I minted my genesis on Foundation: I Don’t Give A F***, selected for the juried show at the City Gallery during Spoleto, and the piece I call my Mona Lisa (so far).
More oils followed, animated to add a layer a canvas cannot hold. Imagine, my tribute to John Lennon, was collected on his birthday. The Phoenix, from one of my largest paintings, sparked a bidding war.

2022 · Fully digital
No canvas at all.
Red Heels began as a photo shoot with a friend who visited my studio. I planned to paint it in oils, but the images asked to stay digital. It became my first fully digital collection, and it sold out.
Then came Unveiled, my most intimate series, MOOD, a study of feelings, and Playing With Fire, inspired by the dance of a gypsy. One collector believed in this work early on, and I am grateful to this day.

Community
Art that brings people together.
Dare To Dream took my Like A Girl project into Web3, as a community for women and non-binary artists and collectors.
With Love is Louder, a curated community of queer artists, Emerging Love traveled from Ninfa Labs in Milan to NFT.NYC and to OSHI Gallery in Melbourne.
Along the way I curated shows, built collective galleries and spoke on stage at NFT.NYC.

During the bear market, collectors kept telling artists to ignore the market and just create. I wanted to show what that looks like from our side: the bills, the pressure, the days we win and the days we just endure.
An Artist’s Life became Meme Card #482 in the 6529 Memes collection, and its companion series of one-of-ones found a single home. Around the same time, Cozomo de’ Medici collected my work for the Medici Emerging Collection.

Now
Still exploring.
Today I move between mediums the way I always have. Still, Not Still starts from my photographs and reveals, frame by frame, what moves beneath them. I also built my own generative art app: Animated Flow, my first generative collection, mints on Base, and Fantastic Creatures brings 13 mythical beings to Tezos, 104 one-of-a-kind pieces chosen by hand.
Five years in, I am still experimenting, and that is the whole point.
